Ice skating at Chamrousse 1650

You won't find any of those ugly blue plastic ice skates here. You'll be putting on proper ice skates like Torvill and Dean used to wear. In the evenings they often turn on the disco lights and pump out some music which adds an extra dimension to what is a really fun activity. Renting ice skates only costs a few Euros because most of the cost is effectively included in your ski pass. For exact times, check out the diary in the downloads section. There is no need to prebook. Nearest bus stop is 'Télécabine 1650'.

Luge (sledge) park at Chamrousse 1650

This activity has been a big favourite with many Allez Ski clients. Swap your skis for a sledge but don't think this is the easy option because this is high adrenaline stuff. The 2.1km slope has 315m vertical drop, banked turns and moguls. It's open every day and also open on night skiing evenings. There is no need to prebook and you can buy tickets at the Gaboureaux chair lift at Chamrousse 1650. You can buy a single ticket or a 2-hour ticket which is the best option because you'll start to really get the hand of it on about the third or fourth time. Bring your helmets, they're compulsory.

Snowmobiles between Chamrousse 1700 and Chamrousse 1750

Close to our apartments is the snowmobile HQ. You will "fly" over it and get a bird's eye view when you go up on the chairlift from Chamrousse 1700. There is a range of options for children, teenagers and adults that range from a short blast around the woods to an evening excursion that goes all the way up the mountain and all the way to Chamrousse 1650. Husky rides in the Nordic Park

Below the apartments, through the woods, is the Nordic ski area which is a wondrous 1600m plateau that is a natural wonder in its own right. This is also where the husky rides are. You may hear the yapping of the husky dogs eager to get going again. In our experience, this activity is notoriously difficult to prebook but it is possible to walk down and chance getting a last minute booking, especially if they have a 'no-show' but it's worth trying to contact them first, perhaps even text their mobile?

Fat biking from Chamrousse 1750

Allez Ski did this activity for the first time at New Year and it was a lot of fun. Franck Sgambato from the Sgambato ski hire ship was the expert guide instructor. Meet at the shop at Chamrousse 1750 early in the morning so you can ride to Chamrousse 1650 before putting taking your bike in the gondola to the top of the mountain. After that it's all downhill... back to Chamrousse 1750. Before you know it, you'll be skidding like a pro. Prebook by popping to the shop or giving them a call.
