Allez Ski spent many years trying to find another ski resort that ticked as many boxes as Chamrousse. Darren searched far and wide visiting many, many resorts in three different countries. BUT Les 7 Laux, exactly what he was looking for, was right next door to Chamrousse all the time. 

 

With 120km of pistes ranging from a dedicated beginners area to a famous marked off piste area to a popular snowpark, there really is something for everyone in Les 7 Laux whether you and your family are regular skiers or this will be your first ski holiday.

And it's true. Les 7 Laux's modern network of 22 lifts neatly link up three different villages. 51 different pistes and a large off piste area mean that no two ski days need ever be the same. And with a ski area that extends up to 2,400m, Les 7 Laux's snow record is excellent.

OnTheSnow website says Les 7 Laux is is the #1 Family Friendly Resort in Isere and when you consider that it is not only up against the likes of Chamrousse to win this accolade but also the big boys of Alpe d'Huez and Les 2 Alpes, that's some achievement.

 

There's an abundance of après ski too. Make sure you try Les 7 Laux's Wiz Luge which is a toboggan on rails if you like life in the fast lane AND, at the other end of the scale, snow-shoeing is a must... even if it means taking off your ski boots for a morning or afternoon.

There is a great choice of excellent bars, restaurants and disco and there is a well stocked and reasonably priced supermarket.

 

During the peak weeks, you can expect an entertainment programme that includes special events such as fireworks, night skiing and torchlit descents. The fun doesn't stop after dark.

 

Darren and his family tried out the resort last New Year week and had a magical time. Darren has been back a few times since then (including as a guest of Les 7 Laux and France Montagnes).
