Allez Ski were happy when the best ski hire shop in Chamrousse agreed to be our ski hire partner. We were beyond happy when we discovered that one of their stores is right next to our apartments.
What this means is that you will get the best possible equipment and you won't have to trudge half way across the resort to collect or return it.
Skilead, their new name from last winter onwards, is a family business and you're promised a warm Alpine welcome. What you will also get is expert advice and service from the owners Jean Jacques and Céline Goulot. Jean Jacques is a French ski champion and former trainer of the French national alpine ski teams and his wife Céline was a member of the French youth team and is a national ski instructor. The couple have two daughters who are also excellent skiers and regularly work in the shop. The family are supported by a team of carefully selected ski professionals.
Pre-booking ski/snowboard hire is always recommended but it is essential during the February school holidays.

You will notice that ski/snowboard packs are based on ability. If you are a beginner, do not be tempted to go for the 'top-of-the-range' skis thinking they will be better. The skis are deliberately designed and handpicked to help differing ability skiers progress.
If you've got your own boots and just want a price for skis or snowboard, contact us. If you've got your own skis or snowboard and want to bring it on the flight with you, it is free of charge but you must pre-book because we are restricted to how many.

Helmets are a key part of the kit for all skiers and snowboarders whatever the age. Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended by mountain sports professionals and is mandatory for some lessons.
When you collect your ski hire, you will be asked to leave a card guarantee as a deposit for loss/damage. Skilead can also arrange insurance but many winter travel insurance policies will already cover this.
